Who We Are
Mountain States Ranch Rodeo (MSRR) is the American West's richest and fastest-growing ranch rodeo series, an annual celebration of working cowboys, their families, and the ranches they represent. Our cowboys ride and rope for ranches that have been stewarded by their families for generations.
Our Mission
We are committed to preserving and promoting the ranching and agriculture traditions of the Intermountain West through event production, education, and community support.
We fund youth programs focused on leadership, education, and ranch skills.
A portion of all finals proceeds is donated to local causes that strengthen our ranching communities.
Our Legacy
Founded by Kent Wollert and Doug Roberts, both lifelong Montrose residents, MSRR blends ranching expertise with event marketing know-how:
Kent is a third-generation rancher and owner of Big Country Trailers. Kent also runs the 200 head cattle operation SOGA LLC Cattle Company with his family and has competed in ranch rodeos throughout the western US
Doug the former owner of New West Marketing, brings decades of experience in business development and event production, along with ties to the Elite Professional Bull Riders Association.
