About Mountain States Ranch Rodeo

Mountain States Ranch Rodeo celebrates the skills, teamwork, and traditions of working ranch cowboys. The series connects ranch rodeos throughout the Mountain States region and gives qualifying teams a path to the annual Finals in Montrose, Colorado.

Our mission

Our mission is to preserve ranching heritage through authentic competition, support the communities that host ranch rodeos, and give working cowboys and their families a regional stage on which to compete and gather.

• A consistent qualification path across sanctioned rodeos.
• Regional promotion for local committees and host communities.
• Sponsor visibility across the circuit and at the Finals.
• A family-centered celebration of western skills and traditions.

The 2026 Mountain States Ranch Rodeo Finals will be held September 18 and 19 at the Montrose County Fairgrounds.
